Fox Run Center for Children and Adolescents, founded in 1990, is a 100-bed residential treatment facility dedicated to serving the long-standing behavioral health needs of children and adolescents in the local and extended community. Through physician-led, multidisciplinary treatment teams, Fox Run addresses the overall medical, psychiatric, social and academic needs of the child, as well as those of the family. The residential treatment center provides a secure environment, programming and educational services for ages 5 to 17 to learn new ways to manage themselves and situations.
Services/Programs
- Residential treatment center that serves patients from three to 12 months, or longer if necessary
- The Children’s Program, designed to treat young children, ages 5-12, in smaller groups that allow for more individualized and personal attention
- Visions Program serves adolescent males and females ages 12-17 with an Axis I mental health diagnosis along with a co-occurring developmental delay/deficit. Our dual diagnosis program is specifically designed for individuals with an IQ between 50 and 70
- Individual, group and family therapy sessions
- Medication education
- Developmental and social skills building, including expressive therapy, social groups, nutrition groups and behavior modification
- Experiential therapy through the Alpine Towers ropes course
- An interdisciplinary team approach to design the treatment program and personal goals for each resident
