Located in Cidra, Puerto Rico, Panamericano is staffed by a bilingual, multidisciplinary team comprised of education and mental health care professionals. All programs have a strong cultural focus that is sensitive to the language and individual differences that will help Hispanic youth and adults get the most out of their treatment and therapy.
Panamericano is an integrated mental health system, with 3 inpatient facilities, one Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and 7 ambulatory centers through the island for partial hospitalizations, both for adolescents and adults. Additionally, First Hospital Corporation located in Rio Piedras, serves as a part of the intergrated mental health system providing a variety of manage care services for commercial, Medicare advantage and government clients.
Panamericano is Puerto Rico’s leading private psychiatric hospital and is rated the top psychiatric hospital by local physicians. Besides services for adults, it has dedicated units for patients older than 65 years of age. Panamericano offers treatment for adolescents, adults and geriatric. The RTC serves youth ages 13 to 17. Designed to support patients to discover and develop emotional, social, academic, vocational and leadership abilities, based on cognitive behavioral principles, mental health professionals, teachers and care workers emphasize values that cultivate the patient’s emotional, physical and mental health to help them reach their full developmental potential.
