Montevista Hospital, founded in 1985, is an 80-bed psychiatric hospital providing a full continuum of care for children, adolescents and adults. The medical staff at the facility is composed of psychiatrists, addictionologists, family practitioners, internists, anesthesiologists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, social workers and marriage and family therapists. Montevista works closely with its sister facility, Red Rock Behavioral Health Hospital, a 21-bed acute short-term hospital designed to diagnose and treat the complex mental health and substance abuse problems of people over 50.

- Acute inpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs for adult and youth mental health services
- Dual-diagnosis treatment for individuals with both a chemical dependency and an emotional or psychiatric illness
- Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
- Youth suicide prevention program in conjunction with The Jason Foundation, Inc.
- On-going daily support groups
- Free 24-hour assessment telephone hotline; free in-person assessments available by appointment
- Inpatient geriatric program at Red Rock Hospital focused on the stressful issues associated with aging, complete with an individualized continuing care plan for discharged patients and their families
