Peak Behavioral Health Services is a private, psychiatric 84-bed hospital located in Santa Teresa, N.M., on the Texas border near El Paso, Texas. The facility utilizes the biopsychosocial model of modern psychiatric treatment, which holds that mental disorders are the result of a complex interaction of biological, psychological and social factors. Treatments may include medications; individual, group and family therapy; and special educational experiences, in addition to other activity therapies, which may include art, music, and recreation.
