Founded in 1986, the PRIDE Institute specializes in providing addiction and mental health treatment to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities by placing them in a setting exclusively for members of the LGBT community. The freestanding 42-bed facility has graduated more than 10,000 LGBT members through its healthy alternative to traditional mental health and chemical dependency treatment programs, focusing on the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction, sexual compulsivity, depression, anxiety and HIV/AIDS-related stress and grief.

- Individual and group settings
- Residential and intensive outpatient treatment programs
- Detoxification programs, including sober support groups and medically monitored withdrawal management with 24-hour medical staff
- Sexual health programs, including grief therapy for patients with HIV/AIDS
- Group therapy sessions to discuss spirituality, physical health and exercise, expressive arts therapies, and grief and loss
- Family-intensive, weekend-long therapy sessions
- Maintained anonymity through discreet telephone answering and billing arrangements
