Somerset Educational Services provides structured educational services for the emotionally disturbed (ED) / learning disabled (LD) K-12 student population within Riverside and San Bernardino counties for more than 22 years. Somerset is a complete educational program incorporating the home, school and community in a shared responsibility approach to education. Every student is referred by their respective school district and is provided services through an individualized education plan (IEP).
Services/Programs
- Somerset schools provide a complete learning experience in a highly structured and closely supervised setting, enabling the student to return to a public school program as soon as possible
- Mental health services are provided by master's-level interns and/or licensed therapists as part of the structured program day
- Per the IEP, students have no less than one individual and one group therapy session per week of school attendance
- Students are provided specialized social skills training in the classroom so as to experience real-world application, such as vocational education, practical job skills, independent living skills, drug and alcohol education, and other necessary life skills
