WHAT:
“Autism: What is it? What do we know about it? How do we help?” This workshop, presented by Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System, is geared toward education and social work professionals. The presentation will review current thinking on the nature of autism, how it affects children and how those diagnosed can be helped. In addition, signs and symptoms of autism spectrum disorders will be covered, and all major aspects of educating children with these disorders will be explored.
