Director of Nursing at Michiana Behavioral Health Center Earns Master’s DegreePLYMOUTH, Ind. – (March 8, 2010) – Michiana Behavioral Health Center’s director of nursing, Lori Retske, recently earned a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. Fourteen years ago, Retske began working at Michiana as a registered nurse and quickly advanced. A current member of the Marshall County Tobacco-Free board, Retske helped Michiana receive the 2009 Rural Indiana Smoke-Free Environment Award (R.I.S.E) award presented by the Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Agency and the Indiana Rural Health Association for becoming a smoke-free facility. She also serves on the advisory boards of the Ancilla College Nursing Program in Donaldson, Ind., and Bethel College School of Nursing in Mishawaka, Ind. “Lori’s recent academic achievement is just one of her many successes that demonstrates the skills and dedication she brings to Michiana,” said Bryan Lett, CEO of Michiana, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility. “I know with this advanced degree she will continue to provide her staff with strong leadership and provide the patients at Michiana with the finest of care.” In 2009, Retske was presented with the Michiana Forty Under 40 award by the Young Professionals Network, and she previously was named Program Leader of the Year by Horizon Health.
