Michiana Behavioral Health Center Hires New Director of Clinical Services

PLYMOUTH, Ind. – (March 8, 2010)Michiana Behavioral Health Center, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, has named Peter Edis as the facility’s new director of clinical services. Edis will oversee social workers and support staff for Michiana’s children, adolescent, adult and geriatric programs.

“Having worked in various healthcare roles across the country, Edis brings multiple perspectives that will benefit the entire hospital,” said Bryan Lett, CEO of Michiana. “His experience in managing programs, leading personnel and demonstrating superior communication skills will add to the exceptional personalized care our staff offers.”

Prior to his new role, Edis served as a program director for Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern, N.C., and Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, N.C. He also served as a healthcare management consultant, a substance abuse therapist, a psychiatric technician, an adjunct instructor and a special education teacher.

Certified in critical incident stress management, Edis received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from The State University of New York at New Paltz and a master’s in special education from Dominican College in Blauvelt, N.Y.
